Julie Berkowicz has spent more than three decades raising a family, serving neighbors and working through local government to protect taxpayers and strengthen the community.
A life of local service

Julie and her husband, Walter, have lived in the Naperville area for more than 30 years and raised three sons, all Eagle Scouts.
Her public-service experience began long before elected office. Julie has worked with homeowners, youth, families with special needs, seniors, veterans and local nonprofit organizations. Those experiences shaped a practical view of government: listen carefully, understand the details, control costs and make decisions around the people who live with the consequences.
Julie was elected to the Will County Board in 2018. She currently serves as Vice Chair of Finance and as a member of the Legislative and Public Health and Safety committees. She also serves as a Forest Preserve Commissioner.

Julie is running to bring a local-government mindset to state government: careful oversight, clear accountability and direct service to constituents.
Her campaign is centered on affordability, reliable energy, safe communities and government that respects taxpayers. She believes the district needs a senator who will ask hard questions, challenge unnecessary spending and remain accessible across both DuPage and Will Counties.
